How many items may I check out at once?
You may have a total of three items checked out at one time
How much money will I owe if I return my books late?
An extended user fine for books is $.10 per day (does not include weekends or vacation days).Special
fines may apply for short term loan items. Fines must be paid before new items
are loaned.
What happens if I lose a book?
You will be responsible for paying the price to replace the book.
Do I need to have my ID with me if I want to check out books?
Yes, you must have a current West Ranch High School I.D.
Can I renew a book?
Yes, you may renew a book once for another three weeks only if no one else has
placed a hold on that item.
What should I do with my "library pass" when I come to the
library?
When you enter the library, leave the library pass at the circulation desk. At
the end of the period, you may pick up the pass and return to class.
Do I need my ID to return books?
No, you do not need your ID to return books or to pay fines.
Can I check out magazines?
New magazines in plastic binders do
not check out. See library staff regarding old magazines.
Can I use the library databases from my home computer?
The library databases can be accessed through the library website and using the
password. See library staff for

May I use the library computers to check my e-mail?
Yes, WRHS student webmail is acceptable. No chat
rooms!
Do the library computers have any word processing programs?
Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher are loaded on every computer.
Does the library have a "lost and found"?
Yes, it is located behind the circulation desk. Items left for more than
several days will be brought down to the attendance office.
At what time does the library open? When does it close?
The library opens each morning at 7:30 a.m. It closes at 4:00 p.m. (3:30 on Fridays)
