The West Ranch High School Counseling team is pleased to introduce Naviance Family Connection. Family Connection is the premier student success system that is designed to help students and parents plan for college and build a successful career path. Using Family Connection will empower our students to take ownership of their future and raise expectations of themselves to better prepare for colleges and careers.

The counseling team is looking forward to bringing Family Connection to our students and parents. The program is very new to all of us, but the hope is we will all learn together so that we can use this great tool to better our students post secondary goals.

The option to have a Period 1 class is a privilege and students who request a Period 1 class are expected to meet the following criteria:

1. At least a 2.0 GPA in the previous semester
2. Excellent attendance
3. Students currently enrolled in a P.1 class earning more than 10 tardies and/or absences, will not be allowed to take a P.1 class the following semester.
4. The availability of Period 1 classes are very limited, therefore students may not get their P.1 request.
5. Period 1 classes are not guaranteed for siblings.
