College Workshop for 10th, 11th graders and your parents!!

The West Ranch High School Counseling team is pleased to introduce Naviance Family Connection. Family Connection is the premier student success system that is designed to help students and parents plan for college and build a successful career path. Using Family Connection will empower our students to take ownership of their future and raise expectations of themselves to better prepare for colleges and careers.

The counseling team is looking forward to bringing Family Connection to our students and parents. The program is very new to all of us, but the hope is we will all learn together so that we can use this great tool to better our students post secondary goals.

The option to have a Period 1 class is a privilege and students who request a Period 1 class are expected to meet the following criteria:

1. At least a 2.0 GPA in the previous semester
2. Excellent attendance
3. Students currently enrolled in a P.1 class earning more than 10 tardies and/or absences, will not be allowed to take a P.1 class the following semester.
4. The availability of Period 1 classes are very limited, therefore students may not get their P.1 request.
5. Period 1 classes are not guaranteed for siblings.

New COC Enrollment Policy: Only 11th and 12th grade students are eligible for concurrent enrollment at COC.

Concurrent enrollment students will no longer be eligible to take their Physical Education classes at COC.
Please keep in mind that due to budget cuts the summer school course offerings have been dramatically reduced. Therefore, it will be difficult for high school students to get into a class. Knowing this, please make other arrangements (see your counselor for details)

College Bound Seniors!!! Make sure and Visit the Senior Page for valuable announcements and college information.

Students interested in taking any online courses note that the BYU proctoring is recommended to be completed through COC. See counselor for details.

Seniors taking BYU online classes needed for graduation must complete them (including the final exam) prior to Winter Break.
