    All grades have been updated in Infinite Campus. The plans for the rest of the semester are posted below. We will be watching "Black Panther" on Monday and Wednesday next week while completing an activity relating the movie to African culture, slavery, and imperialism. Students will be completing a final group project during class on Friday 5/25 and during their final exam period the following week.
     
    Extra credit projects are due on the final exam date. Instructions are posted on the handout below. Students are welcome to come up with an alternative proposal for extra credit but it must be presented and approved by Wednesday 5/23.

    Any notes that you don't get done in class are homework along with the Russian Revolution work from last Thursday. Please make sure all of that is complete before class starts on Wednesday.

I'm assigning the 200 series of the Crash Course videos (3-4 per night) along with viewing guides. Each completed viewing guide turned in the next class period will be worth 1 point in the "Other Assessments" category of your grade. If you need to improve your quiz scores and want to reviewing some overarching themes in preparation for the AP Exam, then I strongly recommend you take the time to complete these each night.

  • Battle of the Somme Cartoon
    • Posted around my classroom is a series of panels depicting this battle that we are using to highlight the changing nature of war in the 20th century. After completing the reading, students worked their way around the room taking notes on what they saw in the images. If you were absent, you will need to make time to come in and do this on your own. Please do NOT just copy someone else's work that was here.
    • There were also three documents that students needed to analyze using the chart in their notes.
  • Wilson's Fourteen Points Reading Questions (see reading and questions below)
    • HW: Finish Battle of the Somme activities and Wilson's Fourteen Points reading. Also, watch the following two videos and complete the questions you have on the Armenian Genocide.
