Spring Schedules and Textbook Pick-Up

Good Afternoon West Ranch Parents,

After completing a successful fall semester online, the District has analyzed our schedule, and is making the following revisions to the spring semester to better serve our students:

  • The 6 short periods scheduled every Wednesday are being replaced by 3 block classes that will have a continuous rotation in the weekly schedule.  This is much like our EVEN/ODD schedule we are used to at West Ranch.
  • The daily afternoon intervention time is being redesigned to increase support to students.  Students who are scheduled by the teacher to attend a specified intervention period are required to attend.  Families will receive phone calls for students not attending a scheduled session.

Attached, you will find the schedules for the first two weeks of the spring semester, along with further information about the redesigned intervention time in the afternoon.  The full schedule for the remainder of the year will be sent to you prior to January 15, 2021.

As we begin second semester, all students have new books to pick-up.  It may be a new class, a change in classes, or new novels in their English classes.  To accommodate this, we have formulated a schedule during the first week back in the afternoon.

During the pick-up procedure parents and/or students will remain in the car.  It is required that you must come with the student’s current 2020-2021 West Ranch ID card. This Drive-Thru process will be similar to what we did in the summer.

The schedule is based on grade level and alpha.  It is attached to this email. The date for your student is determined by their grade level and the time on that date by last name alpha.

To ensure the smoothest possible delivery of textbooks, please only come during your specified date and time for your student.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
