California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)

Why is CAASPP an important exam for students? What is the Early Assessment Program (EAP)?
This is a reminder regarding the upcoming special CAASPP testing schedule.  We have this schedule for two days next week, Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20.  We also will have two CAASPP testing schedules the following week, Tuesday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 26.

*10th and 11th grade students should bring earbuds or headphones on testing days if they have them.

*Students should bring a book or other quiet activity to do if they finish early in a test session.

*Students will not be able to access their phones while any testing is in progress within their testing room.

There are three exams occurring simultaneously.  They are as follows:

CAASPP –   All 11th grade students participate in this exam on all four special testing days.

NGSS Science – All 10th graders will participate, however they will test on only one of the four special testing days.  The date your student will use is based on alpha.  Please refer the attached 10th grade schedule.

Physical Fitness Testing – This will be administered to any 9th grade student involved in a West Ranch Team Sport (i.e., Softball, Baseball, etc.,), Cheer, Color Guard, or Dance.  All other 9th graders will be tested during their regular scheduled PE 9 class.  The date your student will use is based on alpha.  Students will report to the gym.

This is an important exam so please make sure your student is in attendance, gets a good night’s sleep, and eats a nutritious breakfast.  We need for all our designated students to participate.
