Principal’s Message: May 26, 2024

Good afternoon Wildcats,

As we approach the final week of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to provide you with some important updates and information.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering support throughout this year. Your dedication to your child's education and your partnership with our school community have been invaluable. 

I am pleased to inform you that the last day of classes for this academic year will be on May 30th. On this day, we will be wrapping up any remaining coursework and celebrating the achievements of our students. Please encourage your child to attend all their classes and complete any outstanding assignments. We will be on a minimum day schedule, please see below for the specific schedule for each day.

As we prepare for the next school year, I want to assure you that we are committed to providing the best possible educational experience for your child. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff will be working diligently over the summer to plan and prepare for the upcoming academic year which will also be our 20th Anniversary. If you haven't done so already, please complete the parent survey below. 

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful summer break. May it be filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time spent together. We look forward to welcoming your student back to school in the fall, refreshed and ready for new challenges and opportunities.

CITY BUS TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION DURING FINALS WEEK: Please plan ahead as the City Bus transportation schedule follows our finals schedule with the bus picking up at 1:45pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and 12:30pm on Thursday.

CLASS OF 2024 Commencement Ceremony & Diploma Pick-up

This week we celebrate the Class of 2024 with our 17th annual commencement ceremony. Click on the image to the right to view the article in the Signal for more information.  Seniors can pick up their Diplomas this week Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at the front gate with their student ID from 9am-10am or 11am-12:15pm. Diplomas should be picked up by the student. Students who cannot make it during this time, can pick up their diplomas over Summer during our summer hours. Students will not be able to pick up their diplomas without their student ID.

Library Information

All students need to return any overdue library books during Finals Week, and your late fee will be waived.

Counseling Information

  • Juniors Wildcats & Parents: Keep an eye on your inbox this week for a copy of your Graduation Check. The Counselors have enjoyed meeting with the Juniors to discuss and finalize their course requests for next year.  

  • All Students: If you need summer school and have not signed up yet, it is not too late!!!  If you can't remember what classes your Counselor discussed with you that you needed, please see them this week before you leave for summer break.  Remember, you need a C or higher in all A-G classes in order to apply directly to a UC/CSU school. Summer is the time to make up any of those Ds to put you right back on track for college admissions or graduation! Summer School Information and Sign Ups

Summer Office Hours

Our office hours will be modified for the Summer. We will be open for school business June 3 - August 2, 2024 and Closed 6/19, 7/1 - 7/5.
Summer Office Hours are:
Main Office: M-F; 8am-4pm
Registrar Office: M-Th; 8am - 12pm
Library: M-F; 8am-12pm (6/3 - 6/25)

Parent Feedback

As we close out this school year we request your assistance in gathering valuable feedback from our parents. As we strive to continuously improve our school and provide the best possible education for our students, the input and insights of our parents are crucial. Work Permit Support for the Summer
The District Office will issue work permits from Monday, June 3th to Thursday, August 8th, 2024. As of Monday, August 12, 2024, work permits must be issued at the school site.
 
During the summer (June 3rd - August 8th), work permits will be issued by appointment only. Work permit appointments will be available Monday and Wednesday from 9-12 pm and Tuesday and Thursday, 1-4 pm. We will not issue work permits on July 4th. The appointments are 15 minutes in length and can be made by emailing [email protected] or visit https://www.hartdistrict.org/apps/pages/students-work-permits
Upcoming Activities & Athletic Events
SUMMER CAMP SIGN-UP INFORMATION
With the high demand of athletic physicals from all 7 schools in the district, appointments at Exer are limited for the month of June. If your athlete is doing summer camp in July or does not need a physical until after June and you would like to go to Exer please reach out to Kyle Payne ([email protected]) and he can assist you.  Exer Urgent Care does offer walk-in appointments for $75.00 if the student-athlete still needs a physical for participation in Summer camps starting in June.

You can visit our website for more information to sign up for Summer Camps. All students need to get registered for camp as soon as possible.
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
  • OLR update: Online Registration for next school year needs to be completed as soon as possible in the infinite campus parent portal.  Click here for more information.
  • Summer Check-in: Students will come to campus on August 5th (11th & 12th Graders) and August 6th (9th & 10th graders) to check-in, take their school ID picture, pick-up schedules, pick-up textbooks, and more. See attached for the scheduled events. All students will need to check-in before school begins. 
  • School begins August 12, 2024
