THIS WEEK AT WEST RANCH
February 26th through March 1st

Principal’s Message: February 25, 2024

Good afternoon Wildcats,

As we close out the month of February, I would like to commend our students who participated in the Hart District's Black History Month Art Show. The following WR artists participated in this event by submitting very creative artwork: Lara Mellaci de Carvalho, Elizaveta Kan and Kelly Vallas. In addition, Ashley Owens-Burrell participated in the event by performing a Dance. The art pieces will be on display at the Santa Clarita Youth Arts Showcase on March 9th at the Newhall Community Center from 11am to 3pm. Some of artwork is also featured below.

Also, as we move into the busy month of March, please mark your calendars for our Open House scheduled for March 19th. More information will be shared regarding this event in the coming weeks.

Finally, if you haven't heard, our Parent Advisory Committee has gone through some positive changes and are looking for volunteers, donations, and ideas to support learning opportunities in our community. Feel free to follow PAC on Instagram (@wrpac) or send President Amy Bibby an email at [email protected] for ways parents can get involved.

Sincerely,
Robert Fisher
Principal, West Ranch High School

Choir Concert: A Night at the Movies, Saturday March 2nd

The choir students would like to invite you to our spring concert, "A Night at the Movies!" We have a wide variety of music for you to listen to and enjoy, ranging from Disney music to Gospel to Dolly Parton (of course!). The show is in the theater and starts at 7:00pm. General Admission is $10 and students are $5 with an ASB card.

Counseling Information: Freshmen Registration for 2024-2025

Counselors are excited to be visiting the Freshmen Science classes to meet one on one with students in order to review transcripts, check their progress toward their post high school goals, make any summer school recommendations and help them select classes for their Sophomore year!  Scheduled class visits will begin on Feb. 26th and run through March 6th. Each Counselor sent out an email to their Freshmen Wildcats with the Google form link to select classes along with a video that will guide them through filling out the form.  Please keep in mind, the google form is a worksheet. It is not the final schedule. If a student is absent on the day of the  class visit, they still need to fill out the google form and make an appointment with their counselor to complete this process.
