THIS WEEK AT WEST RANCH
April 22nd through April 26th

Principal’s Message: April 21, 2024

Good afternoon Wildcats,

We will continue CAASPP testing this week for our 11th grade students in Mathematics. Our students have been working very hard to do their best on these exams and we appreciate their efforts. We will have a special bell schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday this week for testing. 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will begin school at 10:30am on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This week is also National Student Leadership Week. Celebrating student leaders is a truly special endeavor because they represent the very best in all of us. Their unwavering commitment to making a difference in their schools, communities, and the world is inspiring and shapes a brighter future for us all. Thank you to all of our student leaders!

Finally, this week we will also celebrate our Teacher-Librarian Mrs. Watanabe, Textbook Tech Christina Otazo, and Library Media Tech Tracey Pedrosa for all they do for our library. The governing board passed a resolution recognizing April 21st-27th as National Library week. Please join us in thanking and celebrating the vital role our Library staff plays in our school community.

Sincerely,
Robert Fisher
Principal, West Ranch High School

Counseling Information for 11th graders

Juniors!!! Please keep an eye out for an email from your Counselor on Monday Morning.  Counselors will be starting their Junior Grad Checks. Over the month of May, Counselors will be meeting with every Junior to review their transcripts and ensure they are on track to meet their post high school goals. In order for the student to set up a meeting with their Counselors, the student must fill out the WRHS Graduation Check Form in advance.  This meeting is required so that we can finalize course requests for Senior Year!

California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
This week we will continue State testing for our some of our 9th grade students in Fitness Standards and all of our 11th grade students in Mathematics. We will have a special bell schedule on April 23 and 24 (see attached). Please join the West Ranch High School Staff in encouraging our students to Go for Blue, the highest ranking in the state tests in 2024.
