Wildcat Wellness Center: Mindful Meditation every morning at 8:10 a.m. Everyone should try this
at least once! Today is Dog Therapy for those of you who signed up. A reminder that the SUTO Club
has a box for your anonymous questions that are then answered via social media. Check it out on
your next visit. Preview of next week--join a drum circle, do a yoga sit or come by and reset. Have a
fabulous weekend!
 
Tonight, don't miss the final performance of the Theatre Arts program's - NIGHT OF THE LIVING
DEAD. Based on the classic film, a group of people barricade themselves inside a Pennsylvania farm
house in an attempt to survive hordes of relentless, shambling zombies!
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD - Tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the theatre. Admission is $8 adults, $5 for
students.
 
CCR
A representative from Linfield College (Oregon) will be on campus at Lunch TODAY. Linfield has
many undergraduate programs on their main campus in McMinnville, Oregon, including sports
management, psychology, business, and many more. Linfield also has a separate nursing school
campus in Portland. Stop by the Career Center at Lunch TODAY to learn more.
 
COC Information
Don't forget Tuesdays with Jade. Our COC Representative will be here every Tuesday to support our
students with accessing College NOW or to work with students who plan to attend COC in the Fall of
2020. Please stop in and say Hi to Ms. Jade for any of your COC needs.
The California Community College system serves the largest number of undocumented students of
any of California's higher education systems. In support of California Community Colleges
Undocumented Student Action Week, COC will be hosting an information session on Thursday,
October 17 at 6pm and again at 7pm on College of the Canyons Valencia campus for undocumented
students and their families. Presentations will be offered in both English and Spanish.
This is a great opportunity for students and their parents to receive information from a team of college
staff on:
* Applying to College of the Canyons
* Canyons Promise Program (free tuition for first-two years of college)
* AB540 and DACA
* Financial aid options including California Dream Act.

NHS Service Events
2 new service events have been added to our website: Stevenson Ranch Elementary Movie Night
and Oak Hills Fall Festival. Members should sign up to receive their mandatory sponsored event
credit for the semester. This applies to current NHS members only.
