WRHS is looking for qualified candidates to nominate for the Carson Scholars Program 2019.
Carson Scholarship Program is open to student’s grades 4 through 11 who have at least a 3.75
GPA for the current school year and are involved in community service activities.
For details interested students can see Mr. Hansen in the Counseling Office until Tues. Dec 11.
Special Olympics Society
Meeting at lunch in room 539. Free pizza for all who attend! Get hours and have fun at
the same time!

Wildcats Against Cancer
Hats for Heroes will be going from now to the 14th. Hats will go to cancer patients at
Children’s Hospital LA. 2 hats for 1 nhs hour and 4 hats for 2 hours for a maximum of 2
hours. Hours will count for spring semester. Hats can be dropped off in Ms. Barr’s
room, 410.

Math Club
There will be a math club meeting Monday, December 10 in room 425 at lunch!
Parking Permit Flash Sale
Today, Tuesday, December 11, at LUNCH only, a limited number of parking permits
will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Permits will be sold to any 10th, 11th or
12th grader with a valid California Driver’s License. Student must have all documents
in hand with the parking permit document signed by both parent and student. There
will be no exceptions to this. If you are missing any document, you will not be sold a
parking permit.
Documents Required:
1. Parking Permit Form (See West Ranch ASB Website)
2. Current Insurance
3. Current Registration for the car the student will drive.
4. Current Driver’s License
Attention Juniors and Seniors
If you are interested in the Medical Field, Valencia High School will be hosting
the Introduction to Pharmacy A class in the spring. This class fulfills the A-G Elective
Credit requirement and is the first step of preparation for the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Exam. The class will be offered T/TH 4-7pm at VHS. If you are looking for
a challenging and interesting elective outside the normal school day, see Mrs. Jenkins
in the Career & College Center or email her at mjenkins@hartdistrict.org to sign-up
while there is still space.
It’s that time again, Warm cocoa, pretty lights and a good book. Come by West Ranch
Library and check out five books to read over the holidays and you will et a fun surprise
with your books. Read to young children, read for yourself or read a classic to get
ahead on the SAT’s.
Lost and Found
Reminder to check lost and found in the 200 bldg. office if you lost any items recently.
All unclaimed items are disposed of at the end of each month.
