CAASPP Testing Schedule- Tuesday and Wednesday This Week
 

Hey, Cats! It's that time of year when we want to be especially sure we do well in our assignments and homework! And it's time to start preparing for Final Exams! To help you, we will have 4 Open Library Nights available:
April 30
May 7
May 14
May 21
TIME: 6:00-7:30pm
You must arrive by 6pm to sign in. You MUST present your school ID card to enter. Teachers will be on hand to assist you in English, Math, and Science. Come join Open Library Nights and get the job done!

Attention all graduating seniors who have been in DFYIT for at least the last 3 out of 4 years!! Please see Mrs. Sage sometime this week in room 534 to see if you qualify for graduation cords.

Attention Class of 2019!! The time is quickly approaching where you will be seniors in
high school. There will be a lot of information for you in the coming year, please make
sure you check the bulletins and watch the announcements.
The first thing that will need to be completed is your Senior Portrait! This week in your
English class, you will be receiving a booklet from O’Connor Photography. It is your
responsibility to contact O’Connor Photography and make your appointment. This picture
is not only available for purchase but this is the same picture that will be used for the
yearbook! Do not delay, give this booklet to your parents and call O’Connor Photography
today!! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hinze, the Assistant Principal over Senior events.

Car Give Away – For all students with a 3.5 GPA or more, you have qualified to be entered in a drawing for a FREE car. April 26th at 8:00 at Canyon High School, student names will be drawn, and if you’re in attendance and your name is drawn, you win a brand new Mini Cooper! Remember, you MUST be in attendance.

It’s April and that means National Poetry Month, stop in and see the amazing display of books of poetry you can check out and enjoy.

FIDM Fashion Club will be holding a fashion show on Friday, April 27th. We are looking for students of all genders, sizes, and different style interests who would like to model in the show as well as students who would like to be part of the show backstage and help with organization. We will be holding an information meeting on Friday at Brunch in Room 304 and again on Tuesday at brunch in room 304. No previous modeling experience necessary!!

Campus Parking Passes are maxed out at this time.  We do not anticipate releasing/issuing any additional parking permits in January.  Please park appropriately on campus if you currently possess a WRHS Parking Pass.  If you do not currently have a permit, please be sure to park safely "off" campus in designated street parking.  New Parking Passes for the 2018-19 school year will be ready for Seniors/Juniors at Summer Check-In Registration.

DRESS CODE
With the warmer weather here, let’s remember WRHS does have a dress code. Girls you need to make sure you are not wearing tube tops or see through shirts. Boys, tank tops cannot but cut out on the sides.

OPEN PERIOD STICKERS
If you have an Open Period, stickers will be given out sometime this week. Until then you must show your schedule and ID card at the gate in order to leave campus during your open period.

Student Parking Lot reminder:
Students are reminded to drive safely in the parking lot. Parking decals must be displayed at all times if you are parking within the student lot or you will receive a citation. Seniors and Juniors, please ensure that you have purchased your parking pass decal and are displaying it from August 14 throughout the school year.

West Ranch has a Late Start Wednesday schedule.  This schedule allows for teachers to have scheduled time to collaborate and work on professional development together every week.  This schedule aligns with many of the other high schools in the Hart District that also have Late Start Wednesdays.  On Late Start Wednesdays, school will begin at 9:25am with no 1st period, and end at the same time, 2:45pm.  I have attached a copy of the schedule to this email.
